Jonathan, age 10, asked for hot sauce for MOM for his birthday this year. He collected over 30 bottles that he delivered to MOM's Food Pantry. When his MOM asked him what he wanted for his birthday, he said, "Something for MOM! What's on their Top 10 list? I only want to give them what they really need."

Christian (age 12) has been raising money for nonprofits through an annual bake sale and lemonade stand since he was eight years old. This past year, he raised $668 to help MOM purchase school supplies to fill backpacks so kids in our community could have the resources they need to start the school year ready to learn.

Girl Scout Troop 2950 Make a Difference at MOM

The Girl Scouts of Troop 2950 have been Scouts since kindergarten. Now, as they finish seventh grade and are ready to move on, they have decided to donate their remaining funds to MOM. They earned these funds over the years selling candy and nuts and, of course, Girl Scout cookies.

Middleton High School Student Collects Over 400 Pounds of Hygiene Items

Daniel Cooper, a freshman at Middleton High School, recently conducted his second annual holiday drive to collect hygiene items for MOM. The result was a donation of over 400 pounds of needed items.

I am a 12-year old digital artist from Middleton, Wisconsin. I love to draw unique zentangled designs and this year I decided I could raise money for charity with my art. I drew a Wisconsin-shaped design and printed waterproof vinyl stickers with the design to sell to raise money for Middleton Outreach Ministry. I raised hundreds of dollars to donate so far and I am going to keep raising money for MOM!

We have seen firsthand the positive impact that MOM has had on those in need. While life has thrown us curves (as it tends to do to all of us…), we are lucky enough to be in a position to give back to our community, in the hope that we can help make someone else's life a little better. Three generations of our family are involved with MOM.

Jonathan donated $113.25, his savings from the entire year, to MOM. He said, “I want to give MOM my money this year. They know what they need so they can use my money to buy it. My money jar will be empty, but I don’t really mind if it helps people.”

Girls Scouts, Boy Scouts, Dairy Council, Second Harvest Support MOM

This year our food pantry benefited from many groups working together. Through the efforts of the Girl Scouts, Boys Scouts, Dairy Council and Second Harvest, we received 2,393 pounds of non-perishables, many boxes of donated cookies , and 1,094 gallons of milk provided all the fixings for Spring dishes for MOM’s food pantry.

Why I Give: Starr Grass Band

Siblings Lucas, Lucy and Laura are local musicians who use their talents to support MOM and make a difference for other kids in their community. They play music at the Westside Community Farmer’s Market, setting out a hat to collect donations as people pass by. Then they contribute what they raise to MOM. Here's why they do it.

4-H Cross Plains Wondermakers' Year of Service

Youth from the 4-H Cross Plains Wondermakers decided to go the extra mile this year. Instead of choosing one project to support MOM, the youth spent the entire year doing a variety of projects with the goal of making a difference for families in our community.
