Individual Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are the heart of MOM and vital to the success of our programs. Listed below are our current volunteer opportunities for Individuals who are able to volunteer on an on-going basis. Volunteer Opportunity:

Front Desk Reception - Main Office

Our Main Office Front Desk reception volunteers answer phones, greet and help with client walk-ins and other inquiries, assist with client programs, schedule client appointments, help with general office work at our Main Office, accept donations when the adjacent Distribution Center is closed. Training provided by "shadowing" with an experienced volunteer. Click on "Show More" button below for prerequisites and which days/times are available. *High priorities: Tuesday afternoons (every week or every other week)*

Sweepers/Cleaners in Food Pantry

Especially with the winter and snowy months approaching, join several other volunteers to Clean and Sweep the Food Pantry after it closes on Tuesdays or Thursdays, from 1:30-3:30 or  2-4 pm.  Help make our Food Pantry shine for when it re-opens for client shopping the next morning! Join other volunteers and wipe food counter-tops, sweep and mop floors, straighten up client waiting area and volunteer room, etc. *High priority on Thursday afternoons to use the floor cleaning machine*

Food Pantry Client Host - Saturdays and/or certain weekdays

Assist MOM clients through the food pantry aisles as they shop for food. Training provided. Click on "Show More" button below for prerequisites and which days/times are most available.

Clothing Center

Have a passion for fashion? Help sort donations and hang clothing at the Clothing Center. Help keep our clothes shopping area appealing for the over 300 people who shop there monthly.

Food Pantry Inventory Support on Saturdays

Join a great group of MOM volunteers! Help ready the food pantry to open for client shopping mid-morning. Ensure that food pantry shelves are organized and well stocked with a variety of items. Training provided.

Moderate heavy lifting required and ability to stand for 2 or more hours. Click on "Show More" button below for prerequisites and which days/times are available. *High Priority on Saturday mornings, starting in January.*

Home Chores for Seniors

Help senior citizens maintain household independence by providing help with home chores. Help once or twice a month. This is a great volunteer opportunity for an individual volunteer, a family, or older high school students!
