Thanks to Fairway Independent Mortgage for hosting a creative and fun food drive to benefit MOM and help feed families in our community. The event, a Star Wars movie morning, was designed as a way to show appreciation to their clients. Owner Mike and employee Monica, decided to turn the gratitude event into further kindness by collecting food as their guests entered the theater. Middleton Outreach received 110 pounds of food collected for just 1 hour prior to the movie. What a great idea! Youth from Blackhawk Church, who helped with the food and school supply collection, loaded up the MOM truck with all of the donations, and then back at the MOM office, youth in the Middle School Summer Camp helped upload the truck and sort the items, which will benefit students, youth and families in our community.
