Front Desk Reception - Main Office

Program or Event:
All programs

Our Main Office Front Desk reception volunteers answer phones, greet and help with client and volunteer walk-ins and members of the public, assist with client programs, and help with general office work at our main office.

Volunteers must be college age or older.  Help weekly or every other week for two or three hour shifts during weekday business hours.  Training will consist of "shadowing" an experienced volunteer.

Help Plan MOM's new Sleep-Out to Prevent Homelessness event

Program or Event:
MOM's Sleep-Out to Prevent Homelessness

MOM's Sleep-Out event is September 13th, and we need help now with planning it.  This is a new community event to raise awareness of homelessness and to raise funds for our programs.  Even if you only have a few hours available, we would love to have your help in the planning for this inaugural MOM event!!  

Do you have some time this summer to:

 (1) Contact Youth Groups, Church Groups, Business Groups, Schools to spread the word and get individuals and groups registered and raising funds (need 5 volunteers)
(2) Contact companies to have them participate (need 5 volunteers)
(3) Contact Businesses to have them donate food for the event (need 2 volunteers).
(4) Contact Businesses to have them donate awards for participants raising money (need 2 volunteers).

Seniors Program Driver

Program or Event:
Seniors Program

Help seniors maintain independence by providing an occasional ride in a timely, courteous, and friendly manner.  Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and must maintain liability auto insurance.

Each Seniors Drive (round trip) lasts approximately two hours.  Volunteer once a week or once a month, whichever fits into your schedule!

Senior Home Chore Assistance

Program or Event:
Seniors Program

Help seniors maintain household independence by providing outdoor and/or indoor home chore assistance for senior clients.  You may be assigned a specific senior client on a monthly or bi-monthly basis.

Volunteer once a week or once a month or only as needed, for about 1-2 hours each time.  Great volunteer opportunity for a family!  Spend time together as a family while helping a Senior client with Household Chores or Yard Work!

Clothing Center

Program or Event:
Clothing Center

Have a passion for fashion?  Sort donations and hang clothing at our Distribution Center.  Help keep our Clothing Center appealing for the over 200 people who shop there monthly.  Volunteers must be at least 18 years old to volunteer, and must be able to commit to at least 6 months. Shifts are two hours - weekly, every other week, or monthly.

Food Rescue Driver

Program or Event:  
Food Pantry

"Rescue" food from local restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries and schools.  Food Rescue occurs Monday through Saturday and is brought to the Food Pantry for processing.  You will have an assigned day of the week. Takes about one hour each time. 

Must have own transportation and hours are determined in conjunction with the Food Pantry Manager.  Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license and maintain own liability auto insurance.

Data Entry

Program or Event:  
All programs

Enter data into our database so we can better serve our clients and volunteers.  We need people familiar with computers and spreadsheets and who have a great attention to detail. Volunteers must be college age or older.

Weekdays in 1 or 2 hour shifts between the hours of 9 am and 4:30 pm weekdays; or weekly on Saturday mornings. (Hours are flexible, but the day and time must be consistent.)
