Front Desk Reception - Main Office

Program or Event:
All programs

Our Main Office Front Desk reception volunteers answer phones, greet and help with client and volunteer walk-ins and members of the public, assist with client programs, and help with general office work at our Main Office. Must be familiar with office equipment and comfortable using computers. Volunteers to be age 18 and older, and commit to at least 6 months. Training provided by "shadowing" an experienced volunteer. **weekdays**

Volunteer shifts are 2-3 hours - weekly or every other week.

Cleaners at Food Pantry

Clothing Center

Do you like to Clean?  Our Food Pantry is very busy and needs cleaning after it closes each day. Put a smile on the face of MOM clients when they come to shop in a clean building? Help us clean the Food Pantry!

We are looking for several volunteers each weekday afternoon to clean.  Join other volunteers for two hours on Tuesday afternoons!

*Volunteer once a week for 2 hours*

Data Entry

Program or Event:

Enter data into our database so we can better serve our clients and volunteers.  We need people familiar with computers and spreadsheets and who have a great attention to detail. Volunteers must be college age or older.

Weekdays in 1 or 2 hour shifts between the hours of 9 am and 4:30 pm weekdays. Hours are flexible, but the day and time must be consistent.

Clothing Center

Program or Event:
Clothing Center

Have a passion for fashion?  Sort donations and hang clothing at our Distribution Center.  Help keep our Clothing Center appealing for the over 200 people who shop there monthly.  Volunteers must be at least 18 years old to volunteer, and must be able to commit to at least 6 months. Shifts are two hours - weekly, every other week, or monthly.

 ** floater volunteer available to sub on different weekdays as needed, weekly **

Seniors Program Driver

Program or Event:
Seniors Program

Help seniors maintain independence by providing an occasional ride in a timely, courteous, and friendly manner. Must be at least 21 years old, have a with a valid driver's license for at least 5 years and satisfactory driving record, and maintain liability auto insurance.

Each Seniors Drive (round trip) lasts approximately two hours. Volunteer once a week or once a month, whichever fits into your schedule! *Weekdays only*.

Senior Home Chore Assistance

Program or Event:
Seniors Program

Help seniors maintain household independence by providing outdoor and/or indoor home chore assistance for senior clients. You may be assigned a specific senior client on a monthly or bi-monthly basis.

Volunteer once a week or once a month or only as needed, for about 1-2 hours each time. Great volunteer opportunity for a family! Spend time together as a family while helping a senior client with household chores or yard work.

Food Pantry

Food Pantry

Client Host volunteer: help clients at our food pantry to fill their shopping carts with groceries.

Inventory Support volunteer: help accept and process donated food.  Stock shelves, rotate food and remove outdated items, all while keeping the Distribution Center tidy!

Canstruction Madison 2016 Planning help

Program or Event:
Canstruction Madison

Support MOM by using your organizational skills to help plan our 2016 Canstruction Madison event. Canstruction is MOM's signature food collection event, which is held in April at West Towne Mall. You would be helping MOM's Special Events Manager with tasks leading up to the event as well as during the event, which will occur April 18 - 24, 2016. While the project will run through April 2016, the hours are flexible and will not exceed 10 hours per week.
