Help plan MOM's new Sleep-Out to Prevent Homelessness event

Program or Event:
MOM's Sleep-Out to Prevent Homelessness

MOM's Sleep-Out event is September 13th, and we need help now with planning it.  This is a new community event to raise awareness of homelessness and to raise funds for our programs.  Even if you only have a few hours available, we would love to have your help in the planning for this inaugural MOM event!!  

Do you have some time this summer to:

 (1) Contact Youth Groups, Church Groups, Business Groups, Schools to spread the word and get individuals and groups registered and raising funds (need 5 volunteers)
(2) Contact companies to have them participate (need 5 volunteers)
(3) Contact Businesses to have them donate food for the event (need 2 volunteers).
(4) Contact Businesses to have them donate awards for participants raising money (need 2 volunteers).

Graphic Designer

Program or Event:

To help communicate the mission/vision of MOM in a visually striking and persuasive way, and in accordance with our brand.  Assist with designing publications, fundraising pieces, brochures, logos, event materials and other agency publications.

Prefer commitment of at least 6 months. 

Able to work alone efficiently and under minimal supervision. Own and use Adobe Illustrator and/or indesign, or other design software. Photoshop experience a plus. Understand basic graphic and design principles, as well as how to design in accordance with a brand. Creative and persuasive writing experience a plus. Must be organized and self-motivated.  Must be dependable/reliable.

Volunteer at MOM's Sleep-Out to Prevent Homelessness

MOM's Sleep-Out to Prevent Homelessness

MOM's Sleep-Out event is September 13-14th.  We need volunteers during the event in 2-3 hour shifts. For a listing of what's available and to sign up to volunteer, visit www.momsleepout.com.

Listing of volunteer needs to be available beginning August 28th.

Front Desk Reception - Main Office

Program or Event:
All programs

Our Main Office Front Desk reception volunteers answer phones, greet and help with client and volunteer walk-ins and members of the public, assist with client programs, and help with general office work at our main office.

Volunteers must be college age or older.  Help weekly or every other week for two or three hour shifts during weekday business hours.  Training will consist of "shadowing" an experienced volunteer.

Seniors Program Driver

Program or Event:
Seniors Program

Help seniors maintain independence by providing an occasional ride in a timely, courteous, and friendly manner.  Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and must maintain liability auto insurance.

Each Seniors Drive (round trip) lasts approximately two hours.  Volunteer once a week or once a month, whichever fits into your schedule!

Senior Home Chore Assistance

Program or Event:
Seniors Program

Help seniors maintain household independence by providing outdoor and/or indoor home chore assistance for senior clients.  You may be assigned a specific senior client on a monthly or bi-monthly basis.

Volunteer once a week or once a month or only as needed, for about 1-2 hours each time.  Great volunteer opportunity for a family!  Spend time together as a family while helping a Senior client with Household Chores or Yard Work!

  People who use MOM services live in West Madison, Middleton and Cross Plains.
