Food Rescue Driver

Program or Event:
Food Pantry

"Rescue" food from local restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries and schools.  Food Rescue occurs Monday through Saturday and is brought to the Food Pantry for processing.  You will have an assigned day of the week.  Must have own transportation and hours are determined in conjunction with the Food Pantry Manager.  Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license and maintain own liability auto insurance.

** limited openings for Rescue Driver(s) on certain days of the week** 

Pantry Garden volunteers

Program or Event:

Work directly with MOM clients in the MOM Food Pantry gardens, or help maintain the gardens from spring through fall months. Skilled in growing techniques and able to teach others.

Clothing Center

Program or Event:
Clothing Center

Have a passion for fashion?  Sort donations and hang clothing at our Distribution Center.  Help keep our Clothing Center appealing for the over 200 people who shop there monthly.  Volunteers must be at least 18 years old to volunteer, and must be able to commit to at least 6 months. Shifts are two hours - weekly, every other week, or monthly.

** Volunteer needed every other Friday morning!  ** 

Front Desk Reception - Main Office

Program or Event:
All programs

Our Main Office Front Desk reception volunteers answer phones, greet and help with client and volunteer walk-ins and members of the public, assist with client programs, and help with general office work at our main office. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.  Help weekly or every other week for two or three hour shifts during weekday business hours.  Your training will consist of "shadowing" an experienced volunteer.

** Volunteer needed every other Wednesday afternoon!  ** 

Seniors Program Driver

Program or Event:
Seniors Program

Help seniors maintain independence by providing an occasional ride in a timely, courteous, and friendly manner.  Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and must maintain liability auto insurance.

Each Seniors Drive (round trip) lasts approximately two hours.  Volunteer once a week or once a month, whichever fits into your schedule!

Senior Home Chore Assistance

Program or Event:
Seniors Program

Help seniors maintain household independence by providing outdoor and/or indoor home chore assistance for senior clients.  You may be assigned a specific senior client on a monthly or bi-monthly basis.

Volunteer once a week or once a month or only as needed.  Great volunteer opportunity for a family!  Spend time together as a family while helping a Senior client with Household Chores or Yard Work!

  People who use MOM services live in West Madison, Middleton and Cross Plains.
