Food Pantry

Program or Event:
Food Pantry

Client Host volunteer: help clients at our food pantry to fill their shopping carts with groceries.  **Limited Opportunities on Saturday mornings **

Inventory Support volunteer: help accept and process donated food.  Stock shelves, rotate food and remove outdated items, all while keeping the Distribution Center tidy!  ** Several opportunities available on Monday, Friday or Saturday mornings **

Shifts are 2-3 hours - weekly, every other week, or monthly.  Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, and commit to at least 6 months.

Clothing Center

Program or Event:
Clothing Center

Have a passion for fashion?  Sort donations and hang clothing at our Distribution Center.  Help keep our Clothing Center appealing for the over 200 people who shop there monthly.  Volunteers must be at least 18 years old to volunteer, and must be able to commit to at least 6 months. Shifts are two hours - weekly, every other week, or monthly.

Front Desk Reception - Main Office

Program or Event:
All programs

Our Main Office Front Desk reception volunteers answer phones, greet and help with client and volunteer walk-ins and members of the public, assist with client programs, and help with general office work at our Main Office. Required to be familiar with office equipment and be comfortable using computers.

Volunteers must be college age or older and available during weekday business hours.  Training will consist of "shadowing" an experienced volunteer. Volunteer weekly or every other week!

Seniors Program Driver

Seniors Program

Help seniors maintain independence by providing an occasional ride in a timely, courteous, and friendly manner. Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and must maintain liability auto insurance.

Each Seniors Drive (round trip) lasts approximately two hours. Volunteer once a week or once a month, whichever fits into your schedule! Weekdays only.

Senior Home Chore Assistance

Program or Event:
Seniors Program

Help seniors maintain household independence by providing outdoor and/or indoor home chore assistance for senior clients. You may be assigned a specific senior client on a monthly or bi-monthly basis.

Volunteer once a week or once a month or only as needed, for about 1-2 hours each time. Great volunteer opportunity for a family! Spend time together as a family while helping a senior client with household chores or yard work.

  MOM distributes over a million pounds of food per year to area people in need.
