Service Area
MOM serves all of the Middleton Cross Plains School District, and the west side of Madison. See our map.
Located at MOM's Distribution Center, the Food Pantry serves more than 800 households per month. The Food Pantry provides customers with an opportunity to choose food for their household as often as needed. The Food Pantry is open Monday-Thursday 10-2, and Fridays and Saturdays 9 - Noon.
In an effort to end hunger in our area, MOM also provides other program designed to get customers the food that they need. The Mobile Food Pantry serves residents at Voss Haus and Segoe Terrace every month. The Food Pantry Garden grows fresh produce, which is all made available at the Food Pantry throughout the growing season. The Snack Bag Program provides snacks and food to hungry students through the Social Workers at area Middleton schools.
If you are in need of the Food Pantry or the Mobile Food Pantry, and it is your first time visiting us (or it's been more than one year since you've used our services), you MUST meet first with a client counselor at our main office on Hubbard Avenue to pre-register.
Located at MOM's Distribution Center, the Clothing Closet, provides free clothing and linens for all MOM clients. It is open the same hours as the Food Pantry (see above). The Clothing Closet allows customers to free up resources to meet other financial obligations.
Financial help in the form of small grants is available to help prevent eviction or pay part of a security deposit. MOM provides housing counseling, mediates with landlords and offers imformation on other sources of assistance to help the customer make a plan to catch up on and remain current with rent payments. To be eligible customers must have income to pay rent in the future.
Utility assistance is offered from April through October to help prevent a disconnection of power. To be eligible, customers must first make a payment that MOM may match 1.5 times for a maximum of $150.
Small grants are also available for car repair and medical prescriptions. Madison Metro bus tickets may also be available to help customers get to important appointments.
The Seniors Program keeps Seniors (age 60+) independent by providing Transportation, Home Chore Assistance and Shopping Assistance. Statistics show that people who remain in their home live longer, happier lives.
All seasonal programs help relieve stress and save necessary resources for basic needs such as housing. Programs include: School Supply Program, Thanksgiving Basket Program and the Sharing Christmas Program. To be eligible, customers must have certified with MOM within the past year and must have registered for these programs during the open enrollment periods.
